Free Intellectual Property Support
We are delighted to announce that we have recently secured European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding to delivery intellectual property support and advice to SMEs in the north east.
With this extra funding we will be able to support over 140 new and existing SMEs with researching, protecting, registering and exploiting their intellectual property.
Are you eligible for our programme?
Our program is for North East based small to medium sized businesses that have a brand, create products, offer services.

What will you receive by participating?
By signing up for the program you will get:
- A business diagnostic from a business advisor to ascertain where your business at and how to move forward.
- An intellectual property session with a trained member of staff to identify your IP needs and knowledge.
- A free IP Healthcheck to determine what intellectual property you own, how you can protect it and how you are using other people’s IP with a list of actions to help you.
- Assistance with filing for intellectual property protection
- Access to a range of bespoke workshops and events
- Access to market intelligence and assistance with research
- Referral to partners to assist with IP commercialisation and/or product development
