Developing your business

Newcastle Business and Intellectual Property Centre at the City Library can help you to build a business based around your ideas or to develop an existing venture.  Why not take advantage of our many years of direct business experience – all available to you through our ever changing programme of workshops, events and coaching session.

Workshops and events

Newcastle Science City, Newcastle Libraries and the Entrepreneurs’ Forum have pooled their resources to offer a variety of workshops, seminars and business events. Topics covered range from social networking to business planning, fundraising to marketing communications.

The workshops have been devised with a business audience in mind and use business experts, experienced entrepreneurs and specialist coaches to help you develop your business. See our events page for more details or to book a place.

Coaching sessions

Newcastle Science City, Newcastle Libraries and the Entrepreneurs’ Forum also offer a series of specialist 1:1 coaching sessions at the City Library. These sessions focus on helping you to access relevant information and resources and allow you to talk directly with experts in their field.

Sessions are limited in availability and booked on a first come first served basis. Please see our events page for full listings.

Access to additional support

Science City, the Entrepreneurs’ Forum and Northumbria University all run programmes to help support people starting up in business or looking to develop their companies. These programmes are run externally to the Business & IP Centre. You can, however, register an interest through the City Library, or contact the above organisations direct.
