The Business & IP Centre Newcastle has an impressive collection of on-site resources that will help you research your business idea. If you’re a start-up looking to find company histories, market trends, or information about consumer behaviour; or you’re an inventor researching customer demand and competitors’ products, we have the tools to help you.
Our resources include:
- Hard-copy books. We have a wide selection of reference and lending material for every aspect of your business. These aspects include marketing, accounting, inventing, business start-up, data protection, and intellectual property rights;
- Journals. You can get access to specialist reference resources which include directories, magazines, and journals (for the latter, ask a member of staff to help you view Access to Research);
- Subscription databases. We have online business histories, financial information, and market reports in a collection of databases. Our databases have a greater range and depth of information than standard search engines. Our subscriptions include COBRA (Complete Business Reference Adviser); British Standards Online; company information resource Avention; property search database CoStar; market research database Mintel Oxygen; and IBISWorld UK.
You can access these resources for free at the Business & IP Centre Newcastle. Click here to see more information.
