Market Intelligence

In addition to hard-copy information and periodicals, the Centre subscribes to a range of business information databases. These are free-to-access, enabling users to research a business idea, look at sector trends, develop a product, scope the competition or look for potential customers to support the start up and growth of local companies.

The subscription costs for many of these resources would be beyond the reach of most small businesses, so it pays to make the most of them.

Access to business information databases for research & development

From 4 May 2021, you can book in advance (no walk-ins allowed) to come to the Centre at City Library and use the databases in our dedicated IT suite. Market research sessions last up to 2 hours and can be booked up to a month in advance.
