Tuesday 29 October 2019, 10.00am - 2.00pm   Room 1, level 2, City Library, 33 New Bridge Street West, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8AX

Intellectual Property is a valuable asset but needs to be managed correctly. In this intensive half day workshop IP Solicitor Patricia Barclay of Bonaccord will guide you through the different sorts of intellectual property and the questions you need to ask about ownership and effective protection. She will also highlight opportunities to monetise underutilised assets.

There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions about your own situation of both Patricia and of Emma Richards from the Intellectual Property Office (IPO). Emma can also guide you through any questions you may have on registrations, costs and support available from the IPO.

You should leave the session with a clear picture of your company’s intellectual assets and an action plan for follow up to ensure that you own what you need for your business and have robust protection in place.

Businesses often underestimate the value that exists in their products and processes. This session is suitable for any established business that has collaborated with third parties or has innovative or branded products. As the session is a very practical one, please, bring a note book as you will be putting together your own skeleton audit report in the course of the morning.
