How to carry out business research at home.

This webinar aims to help people who are working at home but still need to use information to help them to plan and deliver business activities without usual access to the resources offered at Business & IP Centres, which are closed during the current crisis.

It highlights websites and online resources that can help people to carry out research at home. It will focus primarily on free sources as well as covering some sources that offer both free and priced content. It will also include an update on remote services being offered by the British Library Business & IP Centre (please note the services offered by Newcastle City Library Business & IP Centre will be different).

Presented by Nigel Spencer. Nigel is currently responsible for services to support innovation and entrepreneurship at the British Library Business & IP Centre including the Open Innovation project.

By taking part in this webinar you will be automatically enrolled on Innovating for Growth Start-ups. An ERDF funded British Library programme to help get your business off the ground. I4G Start-ups consists of 12 hours of support spread over 8 webinars; Doing Research from Home; Introduction to Lean Start Up; Research for New Business; Introduction to Patent Searching; Introduction to Registered Designs; Introduction to Trade Mark Searching; and Get Started Part 1 and 2 (available from June onwards).

Please note this is an online webinar. You do not need to come into the library to attend. Also note that the resources available at the British Library Business & IP Centre, referred to in the webinar, may not be available at Newcastle City Library Business & IP Centre.

This webinar is delivered by the Business & IP Centre London team based at the British Library, using Citrix software. The British Library Business & IP Centre supports people to start, protect and grow their businesses. See the British Library privacy statement and Citrix privacy statement.
